The SLS-WAVE from Codonics increases the accuracy of NDC data to improve charge capture, decrease inventory discrepancies, and improve safety. Used in conjunction with the Safe Label System, SLS-WAVE integrates with Epic Anesthesia and Plexus Anesthesia Touch for hands-free documentation. On the way to the port, a quick wave of the bar code on an SLS syringe label (or most prefilled syringes) identifies the medication and concentration, then passes and populates the drug’s NDC, name, and concentration in the AIMS/EHR screen. The provider simply enters the dose and time stamp to close the loop and receive detailed drug accounting, increased charge capture, and help with 340B accountability to reduce the amount of time pharmacy spends on manual paperwork.
