JVM and Codonics Integrate Systems to Introduce the Complete Anesthesia Medication Management Solution to Enhance Patient Safety in Operating Rooms Worldwide
Pharmacy and Hospital Automation Solution provider JVM became an Integrator of Codonics Safe Label System® to deliver more complete anesthesia medication management solutions to operating rooms in hospitals worldwide.
JVM, a subsidiary of Hanmi Pharmaceuticals and leading global provider of pharmacy and hospital automation solutions including ATDPS and INTIPharm, today announced its integrator partnership agreement with Codonics, a global corporation that provides the healthcare industry with some of the most advanced patient safety and medical imaging products in over 110 countries.
By integrating these two technologies, Hanmi expects to maximize workflow efficiency of medical professionals in many more countries, including South Korea, and bring more automation opportunities to operating rooms globally. Currently, over forty hospitals in South Korea use INTIPharm, and one of the users described INTIPharm as the “pioneering solution to improve the quality pharmaceutical and nursing service in South Korea.” Hanmi plans on expanding its presence in new markets with its innovative technology and through the synergistic relationship with Codonics. Codonics Safe Label Systems (SLS) will be placed on the top of the JVM INTIPharm Anesthesia Cabinet to quickly and accurately label syringes, ampoules, and other drugs to eliminate medication labeling errors and improve patient safety.
- INTIPharm Anesthesia Cabinet Cart: Officially released in 2020, INTIPharm Anesthesia Cabinet System stores and dispenses medications used during surgery in the operating room. Able to be interfaced with HIS, this product completes the closed-loop concept of the hospital, especially in operating rooms, tracking and controlling medications to improve patient safety and reduce drug waste.
- Codonics Safe Label Systems (SLS): SLS is an award-winning, FDA-approved medical device that enhances the safety and accuracy of medication management by helping to reduce the three most common errors made in the operating room. It utilizes barcode technology to read information from a drug container and provides visual and audible confirmations during medication preparation, then produces a full-color label for the syringe. The system helps to improve patient care, and anesthesia workflow and at administration, helps with electronic documentation for pharmacy.
